Do you know anyone who is approaching 100 years old? If so, help to celebrate his or her milestone in May during Older American Month. The Delaware County Office of services for the aging will be celebrating this coming May 8th at Drexelbrook. Over the past several years, Delaware County has invited all Centenarians and members of their family to Drexelbrook to celebrate the historic milestone of turning 100.
The event is a beautiful and wonderful celebration of aging. Many of the 100 birthday guests walk in on their own with several generations of their families. Others unfortunately are confined to wheelchair or in some cases cannot make it to the event due to illness or other reasons.
If you know someone who is 99 turning 100 today or someone who is 100 or older please contact the COSA office at 610-490-1300. If the person cannot attend the event, a COSA staff person will visit him or her in the home to acknowledge this milestone of life.
